The Innovation Value Institute has released Version 1.0 of its IT Capability Maturity Framework (IT-CMF), which provides a standardised roadmap for evaluating enterprise IT. Four brief Case Studies, from Intel, Cisco, Chevron and Merck, highlight how the IT-CMF has helped them to measure - and improve - the performance of their IT
With tolerance of poor performance in any area of the enterprise at an all-time low, high-spending IT departments that fail to deliver – or even to communicate effectively the contribution they make to the overall value of the business – are being scrutinised increasingly fiercely. Consequently, finding effective ways to measure efficiency and ensure boardrooms fully understand IT’s contribution to the business has never been more important.
