Maintaining a public blog is surprisingly rare among CIOs
As previously revealed by i-cio.com, surprisingly few heads of IT see the value - or feel they have the latitude - to float their thoughts in the public blogosphere. However, here is our updated list of 17 CIOs who are active bloggers (newly added ones at the top):
To find out why UK government CIO John Suffolk maintains a blog, see our "Should CIOs blog publicly?" debate.
To read about US government CIO Vivek Kundra's commitment to opening up the progress of federal IT projects to the public domain, read our article on the US government's IT Dashboard.

CIO's who blog
December 8 2009
My view is that CIO's should blog. Not only is it useful to find out what colleagues are thinking, I believe it's also helpful to shed some light more generally on where IT is going.
